This is the fourth in my #12daysofChristmas read-a-thon! Each day I will post a review of a Christmas / Winter related book. Hopefully this will give you some Xmas-Inspo and give your holiday reading a boost!
The Gift of the Magi is an incredibly simple story. At thirty two pages long it takes mere minutes to read. Yet I think the message here is important; it’s love in the age of consumerism – where a couple who want to get one another meaningful gifts at Christmas sacrifice their own greatest treasures in return. This is about the spirit of giving and that’s well worth remembering.
If you’ve just finished a mad present buying / wrapping spree and need a little perspective, this is definitely the read for you!
